( now the junk Yard on Arlington) This view shows the loop track still in, and the third coal chute, and sand pipe from the coaling tower that served the loop track. This hopper was down graded to Ash Service by this time, shown here in the Akron Engine service facilty. These hoppers were a Unique bread of hopper. The B&O used these in the end days because it made spreading the ash on the side of the tracks easier. |
